Teal Baker joins firm in newly created managing director role as Rachel Shell and Dayna Adelman help enhance overall capabilities
WASHINGTON, D.C. – LSG, a leading impact agency that helps clients grow, evolve, and protect their brands and reputations, today announced the appointment of Teal Baker as managing director as it advances its growth vision and strengthens its integrated public affairs, strategic communications, and brand building capabilities to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s clients. The company also announced that Rachel Shell and Dayna Adelman joined the firm, both as senior vice presidents.

In the newly created role of managing director, Baker will report to Barnhart. Based at the firm’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., she will oversee LSG’s nationwide team of more than 50 experts. She is a seasoned operations leader who drives growth, innovation, and excellence in rapidly scaling organizations with a people-first approach.
Baker joins LSG from Better Medicare Alliance, where she served as chief operating officer, collaborating across policy, government affairs, communications, and operations teams to optimize organizational performance, deepen stakeholder engagement, and lead cross-functional initiatives. Prior to that, Teal spent almost 11 years in leadership roles at the government relations and communications firm Invariant, where she expanded the company’s workforce 10x and drove 600% revenue growth.
Rachel Shell, based in Portland, Ore., extends LSG’s presence in the West and brings extensive expertise in consumer brand building across multiple industries, including travel, CPG, fast casual restaurants, beauty and skincare, health and wellness, spirits, and consumer lifestyle. Known for building strong integrated teams across disciplines and driving client growth, prior to LSG, Rachel held senior agency roles at Edelman, Access Communications, and Emanate. She was also the head of global brand communications for Plenty of Fish. She started her career at Lippe Taylor.
Dayna Adelman will help grow LSG’s corporate affairs and communications offerings with expertise spanning corporate communications, brand PR, crisis communications, change management, public affairs, and sustainable development. Before LSG, she spent 10 years at The Heineken Company where she held a variety of leadership roles in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Adelman started her career with roles at Emanate (Omnicom) and Grey (WPP). She is based in New York.
Baker, Shell, and Adelman join a total of 10 senior leadership appointments made by LSG over the course of the last year, including Stephanie Waites and Britt Jordan, who joined as senior vice presidents at the end of 2024 to bolster the firm’s bench of senior client counselors.
